yesterday, google reloaded it’s page ranks. It’s very interesting to see how in one day, google recalculate all incomming links and based on them the page rank.

Last PR change was about one month ago. I am curious if the next one will be end june, as they said that are looking to change the algorithm.

RIGHT NOW, as we speak, on the internet there are millions of people who have money and they want to buy something.

Most of them are determined to buy something in the next 10 minutes.

They are searching on Google for the best product suitable for their needs, and when they will find it, they WILL buy it.

In the next 10 minutes they will have their money SPENT.

You should be present in the market. You should take a part of their money.

Just by being present, their will be several customers who will buy from you.

Then, if you increase your visibility, more people will buy from you.

It’s a shame not to take their money!

Well it seems that google finance situation is not exactly how I predicted several times until now. It seems that overall they had a small 3% decrease in revenues Q12009 vs Q4 2008. But the number of paid clicks are up, which is exactly what i said

I anticipated that business people, forced by the crise, they will become more efficient. Efficiency means CPC. That should mean more money for google from cpc.

It will be interesting to watch the evolution further. And to move forward, according my predictions

Wondering what is the google market value? Well, it’s bigger then GM’s.

Also, if i recall correct, it bigger then Coca-Cola’s.Not to mention the brand value and brand top of mind awareness

Google market value is so high due:

- the future potential is HUGE. Now, google is making 600MM usd from adsense, it’s major revenue sorce. But the ability of being in top of mind in people’s heads when it comes to buy online (or offline), makes him the bigges intermediary from the history. Basicly, in the future, 1-5% of all products sold online/offline can be send to google. Google will become second richer entity, after US Government (or China’s governement, depending on the timeframe)

Maybe in the newar future, Google market value will decrease, but only to increase dramatically on middle term. I have strong faith that Google market value will be the biggest.

Well, you can’t. Or it’s very, very difficult. Youtube, the biggest (by far) player in this industry still is on loss. All over the world new video sites are launching, willing to make some money with video.

But, if the guru is not there yet, what make you think that you will.

Also, google just announced that they will ditch the video ads, focusing on their core ads (text, banners).

To make money with video is very difficult. The costs are huge (bandwidth, platform, hosting) and money from advertising, especially now, during this crisis, are not a lot.

Of course, there are some ways that you can make money from video:

- the classic banners on the page
- several seconds of video before, during, after the video you want to watch (including click-upon possibilities)

But the people that are interested in watching a video is not so keen to click on your commercials…

I believe that the actual crisis is a TRUST related crisis. Banks don’t trust anymore the clients to give them loans, people don’t trust the government, people don’t trust the economic climate to take new loans… Trust is kind of… over. And when the optimism will come back and spending will rise, then we can say that the recession is over.

Anyway, I thought to put here some methods to GENERATE TRUST (for potential clients in particular, to increase your sales).

1. the website should be professional

2. the emails you are sending should be signed, personalized, not from “financeANDrefinance.com team”, but from “The Finance Guy”. It helps increase personal relationship and preference

3. you need a human face on the site. If the potential client wants to give u money, you need to show him that you are a real person, not a crook

4. show testimonials, but not the fake ones, invented (John. T – Ohio – “You guys are great, Thanks”). No, I mean video testimonials, from recognizable people, preferable VIPs or from companies that we all know. I’m sure you know somebody famous directly or through your friends network

5. be visible. Show your linkedin account, myspace account, facebook account, …

6. Google yourself and see what others will see about you. Be carefull from youth what are you posted on the net. If you post picture with you naked and drunk, don’t expect to receive a banking top management job too soon

7. ask others to link towards your site. This is sort of a testimony that you are ok (on a specific keyword)

8. show that you are a leader – make a blog and post your ideas. Teach others

9. try to speak at all possible conferences (to be recognized as a leader in your field)

10. external shell counts. Everything is this world is based on perceptions. So, you should be excellent at this area. Hair, smile, skin, clothes, car,

11. have u appeared on TV, in shows, interviews? or advertising something? this advertising endorse you a lot. Or if a brand u worked for appeared on TV

12. generate trust by writing articles as guest in famous blogs, magazines

13. make a video by yourself an post on you site, saying something to the clients. Be impecable

In a shitty world we are living now, Google positioned itself as a white knight with shinning armor. They inspire people through their way of being, they invest in alternative energies, it’s a great place to work there. Correct? Google seems mega-uber-cool.

So google, the most powerful company from the face of the earth is GOOD? They have so much money and sooooo much information about everyone… I hope so, but unfortunately, i don’t think is the case. Based on the following fact: human people are polarized, like magnets.

We keep saying that “those” are good and “those” are bad. And in an ideal world, the “bad” should be eliminated from the scene (either via conversion, either jail, either other measures), so the good people remains. We all dream at an utopia society, where crime, hunger, poverty, war are zero. So, if we could separate the good from the evil, and put all good people in a place, will that place be Utopia?

I don’t think so. Because, even if we put ONLY good people in a place, they start polarizing again. Some become negative. It’s just like the magnets. You can cut a magnet in half, to have only the positive pole. But u will only get two magnets.

Human nature is such. Perfection is not possible. We will keep have a positive/negative balance. Ying-Yang.

So, Google must be Bad. But it is also good. In various proportions. Here are 2 more considerations:
a. people inside google statistically should also be evil, as long as the rest of the population.
b. even google would be perfect positive, the other centers of power from the world/USA will want control over google. CIA, banks, nations, guilds, riches families in US, etc. The fight for the power will not let google be positive for ever. However, it’s marketing positioning can still be that. People need hope, need a guiding light…
