99% of all people are born to be slaves. They work their entire life for others and for their own weakneses.

They are either employees, either freelancers. Most of them they only think that they have financial independence, because they consider that financial independence means not taking money from parents. Well this too. But overal this means to be independent from your time. This means not to sell your time for money. Because you will be always a slave. In order to get this financial freedom, you need to become investor. To invest in future flows of capital. To earn money while you are sleeping or while you are in vacation.

Financial independence means to have a freedom in relation to everybody: your financial future should not be related with other parts. Not your boss, not your friends, not Obama, not the Fed, nobody should influence your income flow.
