I’ve wonder if the Internet and his freedom can help people to break free of global gonance domination. If everybody knows and sees the truth, can it be pressures on the world leaders to stop this increasingly global domination? Will information will help fight against slavery? Or not?

Will internet mean freedom?

Have you wondered what if something big would happen? How it would be to predict some of the effects? And, if it’s not a terminal “what if” scenario, to be able to make some money… ))

Let’s say some variants:

1. a meteor will struck the earth (well, this is kind of terminal…)

2. a nuclear bomb will explode in a major populated city from US

3. a virus will infect all wall street, etc

These “what if” scenarios would be very interesting to analyze and to see what possible reverberations will create. How the stock market will evolve, how the finance world will react there will be riots, the currency evolution, etc. The smart guys from 9/11 made a lot of money anticipating the stock market evolution, remember?

Tom Clancy is the father of the techno-thriller. This guy is for sure in love of these what-if scenarios, and that’s why I love to read him. It’s really a lateral thinking exercise:)

Did you ever consider that we, humans, have the same behaviour as the viruses? We tend to ocuppy all space available and eat all our availabla resources?

Did u see the Discovery documentary, where viruses and bacterias are multiplying until they consume everything and after that they perish? Hopefully it will not be our case, but the similarity is high

Nowadays, savings account interest is dropping like a rock. The FED is trying to lower the interest, in order for companies to take loans, so the economy will start rolling again. Of course, together with the interest rate for loans is dropping the savings account interest. Here you have some of the best interest from the market:

- FNBO Direct Online Savings Account decreased to 2.15%

- ING Direct Orange Savings Account decreased to 1.65%

- E*TRADE Bank Max-Rate Savings Account decreased to 1.95%

- HSBC Direct Online Savings Account decreased to 1.85%

The funny part is that in Central – Eastern Europe, the savings account interest are extremly high, on very strong currencies. For example, in Romania, the figures are very high and big US banks are keeping large deposits here:

- Volksbank Romania – 14,5% in RON and 6% at EUR

- BRD Societe Generale - 13,75% RON and 6,75% at EUR

Also, if you invest in state bonds, you will get a guaranteed 20% interest rate, which is also huge. The need for cash in these countries is so big, that are keeping these enormous interest rates for saving accounts.

My suggestion is:

1. if you really want to keep the money somewhere, try to use the overseas accounts that are guaranteed. In Romanian for example the state guarantees 50,000 eur each saving account. Other countries have bigger limits.

2. Try to put the money to work. Invest in future flows of capital. You will never be rich if you keep you money in the bank. Actually, you could loose money due depreciation. Did you know that since 1920 until today US Dollar lost 95% of it’s value?

Today’s savings account interest is not worth to keep the money in the bank, unless you really don’t have anything else better to do with them.

GROW UP!

HOPE is the most important thing in our life (financial or not).

Is the feeling that make us move forward. Is the feeling that makes us support a lot of the daily hardship. When you loose hope, you are getting depressed instantly. Hope (or the lack of it) will make people loose the will to live. Employees without hope are not productive. Prisoners are living day after day because they have hope (of breaking, of a new life after it, etc).

Even when u deeply hate someone and u want to hurt him, still u hope to have more time to hurt him…

People with no hope are not joyful, are lousy parents and lousy human been

We must keep the hope, even artificial if it’s possible. The alternative for HOPE is to dark to consider.

Hope keeps us going. No matter is hope in redeption, afterlife, riches, great women, 99 virgins, peoples recognition, etc… HOPE rulz. Hope will make the recession go away
